The Canary Project opening reception
The David Brower Center is pleased to present its eighth annual Art/Act Award and Exhibition honoring the prolific arts initiative The Canary Project. The exhibition presents an overview of The Canary Project’s work and a more in depth look at a current project regarding water issues in California called Water Gold Soil: American River. The exhibit as a whole will present a strong statement of the many possibilities for art, design and education to contribute vitally to environmental movements.
The exhibition is on view September 23, 2016 – February 9, 2017 with an opening reception on Friday, September 23 from 6:30 – 8:30pm. The creators of The Canary Project, artists Susannah Sayler and Edward Morris, will discuss their work in a public lecture presented as part of the opening reception.
