May 11 will focus on familiarizing participants with the historical precedent of photographers who explored environmental issues in their photography, and how their work affected public policy. In addition, we will discuss the work of contemporary photographers whose environmental work is influential and centers around environmental advocacy today.
May 25 will focus on developing a long term photography project of their own. Participants will be taken through the steps of creating a long term photography project from start to finish including: brainstorming, technical equipment, the logistics of location shooting, editing and sequencing, and final presentation options for their project.
